Feature and Follow Friday #4

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly meme that allows book bloggers to interact with each other and find new blogs! It has two hosts, Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The rules are...
    • (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
    • (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
    • Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
    • Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
    • If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
    • Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
    • If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers
    • If you’re new to the follow Friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!
This week's question is...

What book are you embarrassed to admit you LOVED?

I'm beginning to think that I am terrible at answering these questions because I can never think of what to say! Off the top of my head I can't think of any one book but I know there was a time when I wouldn't read any YA books or paranormal books because my kids did and I didn't think I could possibly like anything they did. After much convincing, I read a few of their books and discovered that I really liked them. I didn't advertise that I was reading them only to find out that most people I know were reading or had already read them. Now I'll read just about anything and I am never embarrassed to admit when I love them!

That is my Feature and Follow Friday for this week! Comment down below if you're a new follower of mine with a link to your blog and I will make sure to follow you back.

  1. Hopping through. I'm generally reluctant to advertise that I read YA but much less than I used to be.

  2. I know what you mean...I am not really embarrassed by what I read either. Sometimes you will read a book that is embarrassing but then it is fabulous!!

  3. Great answer. :) I've been embarrassed about books only to find out that others have read them as well. Have a great weekend!

  4. I thought that was a great answer! I've never thought it mattered what genre you read as long as you enjoy it.

  5. It's still hard for me to own up to some of my Romance books in mixed company (readers and non-readers) but I'm getting better about my shame! :) New Facebook and Twitter follower.

  6. There was a time I sort of felt the same about YA books. It was pretty much when I decided to stop reading them. And of course at that time there was no paranormal YA, but then I came back to it and have loved it ever since!

  8. Hoping through, old follower. I think we should never be embarrassed about what we read, but sometimes those around you can make you feel embarrassed. http://www.booksmoviesreviewsohmy.com/?p=2114

  11. I'm in my thirties and love YA books. I think it's tough as 'adults' because other people will sometimes look at you like you're crazy for reading it. lol

  13. I completely understand! I didn't read YA for the longest time because I thought they were kids books, so how would I enjoy them. But I'm glad I gave them a shot. I may not read a lot of them, but they are fun to read. Thanks for stopping by!

  14. Mostly all I read is YA and books with fantasy and other supernatural elements. I'm embarrassed about what other people think of my reading material but not of the fact that I read and enjoy them. I think there are way more readers with this same issue, but I also feel like people should be able to read whatever they want without other peoples opinions affecting their decision. I hope in the future I won't have to defend my books and I can just not care about others thoughts on the matter.

  17. I was the exact same, couldn't answer it as if I love a book, I am never embarrassed by it. Instead, I'm shouting it from the rooftops and asking everyone I know to read them. My FFF

  18. I'm kind of the same way. I never get really ashamed by what I read. As a rule, I try not to do things that I'm ashamed for people to know about, though, haha. Following back via GFC and Blog Lovin.
