What do you get when you throw in some quirky characters, a hot and steamy love/hate relationship, a little magic and a dog named Robert? The answer is a few enjoyable hours of reading this adorable book. I wasn't sure what I would think of the story at first with the whole sense/touch twist to it but Probst pulled it off beautifully.Who doesn't love a good romance?
I thought that the characters were well developed and appreciated that fact as I was able to get an understanding of them before the story really took off. There was a wonderful cast of supporting characters that were both quirky and fun. Kate and Slade were both likeable and their chemistry was undeniable. Some of the scenes were so hot and steamy that I thought my e-reader was going to melt! The fact that they were flawed and had totally opposite (but somewhat misguided) views on love and relationships made for some interesting twists and turns throughout the book. Put that together with the fact that Kate could sense or touch people to find out if they had a connection or not just added to the appeal.
I just have a few comments to make about Slade. Not only was he independent, successful, family oriented, skilled in the bedroom (wink, wink), and extremely good looking but he also loved and worried about Kate's dog Robert. Hello ladies...what's not to love! I have no doubt that women everywhere will be adding him to their list of favourite book boyfriends.
Over all, Searching For Someday was a very enjoyable read. I loved Kate, Slade and Robert and absolutely adored the epilogue. Job well done Jennifer! I will definitely recommend this book to others.
