This is a cozy "whodunnit" with Wimbledon as the backdrop. Although I am not a tennis fan I was still able to enjoy the story because it never got too technical or carried away with tennis terms. It centred more on the players than the actual game.

The story revolves around detective inspector Angela Costello as she and her team investigate the murder of Petar Belic. The murder has already occurred when you begin reading and the story begins with the discovery of his body. There are a wide variety of characters and suspects with ties to the tennis world. I have to admit that I had it figured out very early on and there were no real surprises for me in the pages. My rating is based on that fact.

If you are looking for a quick mystery to get lost in for a couple of hours then this book fits the bill. Even though it is easy to figure out it is still an enjoyable read.

 About the Author

Elizabeth Flynn is a Londoner of Anglo-Irish parentage. She has a background in the theatre both as an actress and in stage management, and has experience in broadcasting. This is her first novel.
