Terri's Thoughts
Well I did it! I finished the Divergent series with this last installment of Allegiant. It will be very difficult to write my thoughts since this is the third of the series and I do not want to spoil it for anyone who my not have read it. Is there anyone out there who hasn't read it yet? I think I may be one of the latecomers to this series.
I will start by saying that this is my favorite series in this genre that I have read to date. I simply loved it. The eternal romantic in me relished every tender moment between Tris and Tobias and their love story. This was the highlight for me. Two strong characters to cheer for. I just wish that there were more of the tender moments shared between the two as with all of the action in the book it didn't seem like enough. Perhaps it is these stolen moments that made their romance more endearing.
I had heard that there was some controversy to how the story ended prior to reading this and that many are split on how they felt about this. I do not know how I did it but I managed to be kept in the dark until I read it for myself and I can see what the fuss was about. I myself am on the fence and have decided to think it over before laying any judgement. The only thing I will say is that I can see how this will translate to the big screen and I for one will be in line to see it.
I will close by saying that I love when a series comes along that I am honestly above the age of the targeted demographic and I can enjoy it regardless. Anytime I read a 500 plus page book in less than a day it is a sign of a well written and entertaining book.
Two thumbs up to this book and this series. It will haunt me for a while to come.

Veronica Roth is from a Chicago suburb. She studied creative writing at Northwestern University, and wrote DIVERGENT (Katherine Tegen Books, May 2011) and INSURGENT (May 2012). The third and final book in The Divergent Trilogy, ALLEGIANT, will come out on October 22, 2013. In the meantime she will spend endless hours browsing Wikipedia in her pajamas as she eats corn flakes. (Or some other kind of bland breakfast cereal.)

With regards to being spoiled, you lucky thing! I was told the end when I was reading Divergent. I lost my shit! :')
I really liked the ending. WIthout spoiling, I think it was a very fitting ending and I take my hat off to Veronica Roth for doing something so different that the normal YA! :)
