Review: The Trouble with Sexy by Codi Gary

Previously appeared in the anthology Kiss Me.

Fact: Ryan Ashton has never been the hottest girl in the room.

Prim and proper doesn't really lend itself to sexy, but Ryan's okay with that. She's come to terms with her perpetual single status. Or at least she would have, if it weren't for her deliciously gorgeous boss.

Fact: Gregg Phillips is sex on a stick.

And Ryan knows that if she wants him to sit up and take notice of her, she's gotta take a chance … and ditch the frumpy librarian look she's been rocking for way too long. It's gonna take a whole new wardrobe and the help of the local sex kitten to make it happen, but Ryan's up for it. After all, true love is worth the trouble—and that's a fact.

Kristine's Thoughts:

I received an advanced readers copy from Avon Impulse via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. Thank you! The expected publication date is February 10, 2015.

The Trouble with Sexy is a cute story that is sure to get you in the mood for valentines day. At only 96 pages it is a fast moving romance that can be finished in no time. The story itself is by no means original, in fact it has been done many times, but the characters are so likeable that it doesn't matter. I don't know what it was about Gregg but there was just something that I loved.

I am one of those anti-valentine type people but I still thought it was a super sweet story with just the right amount of spice. Who doesn't love a story about friends who harbour secret feelings for each other but are too oblivious to realise it?? Codi Gary is a new author to me and I plan on checking out more of her work.

Just like the book I am leaving my thoughts short and sweet...

About the Author

From the time I could put a Disney Book cassette into my little stereo, and read along, books have held a fantastic distraction. When I was eleven, I decided I wanted to be one of those magical people that brought stories to life. Devouring a book a day sometimes, my first romance novel stuck with me. I've always been a sucker for a happy ending (and the great romantic gesture)and that's what I try to put into my stories. I am so honored to be a part of Avon, and am so excited to have my own dreams coming true. (From Goodreads)
