After a scandal twelve years ago, resident bad boy Eric Valencia has returned to make things right with his family and friends. One glance at Amara and her wicked curves, however, and Eric finds himself thinking about how she’d feel beneath him—something he promised Amara's brother he would never think about, let alone do.
But this bad boy is in deep trouble...because Amara's determined to have her cake, and Eric, too.

** I received an advanced readers copy of this book from Entangled: Brazen via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!**
This book was an average book for me. I didn't love it and I didn't hate it but at the same time I probably won't remember it. I felt like it needed some work to make it a more memorable story.
The characters were slightly underdeveloped and the attraction between Amara and Eric was even more underdeveloped. I didn't get the chance to feel the chemistry between the two before they were locking lips. There was no anticipation and build up to their first encounter. It made me a little indifferent to the whole thing. Then after the first encounter there was an annoyingly long lull in which they fought the attraction that I was having a hard time feeling in the first place. I really think that a little more work on the interactions and development of the two characters would have made it hotter, sexier and a little more exciting. The two of them also came across a little young and immature for their age. I had to keep reminding myself that they were not teenagers.
It may seem like I am being harsh and that is not my intention. I thought the guts of the story were good and enjoyed that aspect of the book but the characters could have used a little bit of help. They fell a little bit flat which made it hard for me to connect and care about them. With a little more tweaking I think they could be great and give the story what it needs to reach above average.
