I received a copy of this book from the publisher Kensington via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.  This story was just released last week.

This story is the third in the it girl series.  It can be read as a stand alone however in my opinion, I would recommend reading the series in order.  The reason is that by doing so you get the entire picture as well as the reader gets to experience the humor of Brown from the beginning.  Also, the first two stories feature Vivian and will give the reader greater context in her role in Fanny's life.  With that in mind this review may only make sense to those who have read the whole series.

I'm not going to lie, I feel the first book was the best however in most cases this tends to be the case.  By now I am used to the over the top humor and endless references to all things pop culture.  There is no longer any shock value for me.  That doesn't mean this was not a good story.  It delivered exactly what I was looking for and that was a light funny read.

While I was onboard with Fanny's journey, I did not find her as dynamic or compelling as her best friend.  This makes sense as the whole plot is surrounding her uptight personality.  It was interesting how Brown threw a lot of French phrases in to the story.  As someone who lives in a bilingual (French/English) city, I do come across a lot of Frenglish being spoken.  That being said it is none of the phrases penned in this story.

This was a light, fast & humorous read.  While I feel that it will forever live in the shadows of the two that came before, it is still a good read.  Based on the ending of this story...can we expect a fourth story in the It Girl series?  I guess I will have to wait and see.
