Review: Wilde Side by Jannine Gallant

Whitewater rafting guide Sawyer Wilde has taken his share of inexperienced adventure seekers through the rapids of Idaho's Salmon River, so his next group should pose no problems—even if it includes a presidential hopeful and his sexy, outspoken aide. After all, it's just a campaign photo-op for the congressman. Until a series of minor mishaps takes a sinister turn…

Devin Lockhart has one job on the rafting trip: to make her boss look both presidential and relatable. And no matter how distractingly attractive their guide is, she plans to do it well. But as danger stalks them through every bend in the river, Devin must put her life—and the congressman's—in Sawyer's capable hands. Because surviving the trip is only the beginning of a deadly ride…

Terri's Thoughts

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.  The expected publication date is October 25, 2016.

This is the second story in the Born to be Wilde series featuring the Wilde brother.  After reading the first story, Wilde One (see review here) and enjoying it, I was anxious to read the second story.  Don't worry to those who have not read the first one, this can be read on it's own.  There is only a brief mention of the characters in the first book.

I have to say I love the Wilde brothers.  Rugged, handsome outdoorsmen with exciting jobs and even more intriguing and genuine personalities.  You know this is fiction because Sawyer embodied every ideal quality you could imagine.

I also liked the fact that Devin was a strong female character.  She spoke her mind in a confident without cocky manner and didn't mince her words.  Too often the female lead can be too insecure where they can come across as too needy, no worried in this story.

While the storyline is a little bit far fetched, it was entertaining nonetheless.  Between the beautiful background of the story and the chemistry between the Sawyer and Devin, this story delivered exactly what I was looking for.

About the Author

Write what you know. I've taken this advice to heart, creating characters from small towns and plots that unfold in the great outdoors. I grew up in a tiny Northern California town and currently live in beautiful Lake Tahoe with my husband and two daughters. When I'm not busy writing, I hike or snowshoe in the woods around my home. Whether I'm writing contemporary, historical or romantic suspense, I bring the beauty of nature to my stories.
