Review: The Accidental Elopement ( Chance Romance #3) by Maggie Dallen

First comes love, then comes marriage—or is it the other way around?
Lucia is an Italian spitfire with big dreams like her billionaire grandfather. But she wants to become a top tier fashion designer, not the heir to the family business in Italy. Now is her only chance to forge her own path. And what better place to start than in New York City? But working behind a bar doesn’t exactly pay the rent. Her trust fund would come in handy, but she needs to get married first. Luckily, she may have found the perfect husband candidate in her co-worker, who just happens to be the most charismatic and devastatingly gorgeous man she’s ever met . . .

There’s more to Ryan’s charming smile than meets the eye—he’s out for revenge and working for his enemy is his best bet at getting it. When Lucia comes to him with her crazy plan, he sees a perfect opportunity to make his move. But doing that could mean hurting his new wife. They say nothing’s sweeter than revenge—but “they” never met a woman like Lucia

Terri's Thoughts

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!  The expected publication date is November 22nd, 2016.

This is the third in a series and although it can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend reading the whole series from the beginning.  Not because I think you will enjoy this story more, because I simply found all three books highly entertaining and worth a read.  There is something about this series that is just a win for me.

Who doesn't love a relationship that is a complete lie and sham?  You know that only pure entertainment can follow.  I can't pinpoint the exact thing but I always enjoy when a relationship starts out as a complete lie.  Why you ask?  It adds so many layers of complexity, and come on, you know the two will have a real attraction and feelings for each other.

When the lie becomes the truth, how does one move forward? I digress, perhaps getting a little deep on this.  On a serious note, I was just really entertained.  For those who have read the first two, you see your favorite characters again while being introduce to Ryan.  Lucia was in the previous stories.

Now lets talk about Ryan.  As usual, I just adored him.  Funny, gorgeous, and caring, he was the complete package.  The way he tried to do what was best for everyone, his family and Lucia without hurting anyone had me reacting the same way as when I see a puppy.  Lucia on the other hand I had a harder time warming up to her.  Her whole plot to secure her trust fund seemed a little bit "spoiled princess" when she never really tried an earn an honest living by hard work.  It made it hard to identify with her for those of us who work 10+ hours a day.  Eventually I did warm up to her once I accepted the fact that there was no forgotten trust fund for me!

I will stop here and simply say...read this story as well as the whole series. I had a good time with them.
