I am always game for a good enemy to lover story and the comedic relief that it often offers. I Hate You, I Love You sounded like the perfect book to get my fix.

I found this book to be average. I didn't hate it and I didn't love it. It provided me with a few hours of entertainment but there were a few things that stopped me from thoroughly enjoying it.

Both Naomi and Sebastian were a little bit boring if I'm being completely honest. I think they both could have benefited from some more character building so that the reader could have enjoyed and liked them better. Normally I enjoy the bickering in these types of stories because it helps to build the anticipation and makes the inevitable moment they get together more satisfying. For some reason it felt off in this story. I'm not sure if it was a timing thing or what. I think that the enemy part of the story went on a little too long which turned anticipation into just plain annoyance. It also lacked the chemistry that I desired. A parking lot was not hot or sexy, it was tacky and juvenile.

To sum it up, I felt like there was a little too much hate and not enough love and it was shy on the chemistry. The title of the book kind of sums up how I felt about it. It was entertaining but average.

About the Author

Elizabeth Hayley is actually "Elizabeth" and "Hayley," two friends who love reading romance novels to obsessive levels. This mutual love prompted them to put their English degrees to good use by penning their own. The product is Pieces of Perfect, their debut novel. They learned a ton about one another through the process, like how they clearly share a brain and have a persistent need to text each other constantly (much to their husbands' chagrin).

They live with their husbands and kids in a suburb of Philadelphia. Thankfully, their children are still too young to read.
