Review: It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

Kristine's Thoughts:

WOW...I'm speechless.

I love Colleen Hoover and I love all her books but I can't even begin with this one. Yes, I loved it but it gutted me at the same time.

The less you know about this book the better going into it. I didn't read the synopsis or a single review before diving in. It definitely enhanced my enjoyment. Therefore, I will not discuss the actual plot and what it was about.

I have always said that Hoover has an unbelievable talent for evoking emotion and making me feel every little thing along with the characters in her books. She has that special something that makes me feel her characters unlike anyone else. It was never more evident than it was in this book.

It Ends With Us is going to sit with me for a long time. I never truly understood what a book hangover was until I finished it. Fans will love this book and this book will create new fans too.

I loved this book. If you haven't read it yet, what are you waiting for? 384 pages reads like less than 200. I finished it half a day. I highly recommend it to fans of the genre or anyone with a pulse. It's that good and will stay with me for a very long time.
