Terri's Thoughts
I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in return for an honest review. Thank you!
This was the third in the Something Borrowed series and I have had the pleasure to have read all of them. If you are picking this up without reading the first two, you will probably be ok however I believe it would be enjoyed more if it was read in order as there are characters throughout who were in the first two stories.
I got exactly what I expected from this story. It was a read that flowed nicely and kept me properly entertained. In fact I got through this book rather quickly. You have to love a best friends story that turns in to more. It is always heartwarming.
For the most part the characters were likable however I have to admit that Kelly got on my nerves from time to time. She did have a tendency to overreact and misinterpret words a little too often and I just wanted to scream "use you listening skills"! Perhaps it just felt a little too much like my job in those moments. Aside from that I couldn't wait for both Kelly and Chris to wake up and smell the coffee.
Codi Gary never disappoints me and I look forward to reading more of her work. I'm not sure if there will be more with this series or perhaps a new one, regardless I will keep my eyes open.
